Unemployment increased at all levels of education

Examined by level of education, unemployment increased from September last year at all levels of education; the increase was greatest among those with post-secondary non-tertiary education (95%), lower-degree level tertiary education (60%), level of education ‘unknown’ (55%) and higher-degree level tertiary education (44%).

Unemployment increased in all occupational groups

Examined by occupation, unemployment increased in all groups from September last year; the most in the category ‘unknown’ (23,700), service and sales workers (17,700) and craft and related trades workers (12,500). Unemployment increased the least among soldiers (20), skilled agricultural, forestry and fishery workers (500) and managers (1,300).
