Unemployment decreased in the areas of all ELY Centres

Compared to the same period in the previous year, the number of unemployed jobseekers decreased in November in the areas of all Centres for Economic Development, Transport and the Environment (ELY Centres); the most in Ostrobothnia (-36%), Pirkanmaa (-26%), South Ostrobothnia (-25%), Satakunta (-23%) and Lapland (-23%). The number of unemployed jobseekers decreased the least in Kainuu (-12%), Central Finland (-14%), North Karelia (-15%), South Savo (-15%) and Häme (-15%). The number of unemployed jobseekers fell the most in Åland, by 45%. Compared with October, the number of unemployed jobseekers decreased in the areas of eight ELY centres, the most in Lapland (-6%) and Uusimaa (-5%). The number of unemployed jobseekers increased the most in South Ostrobothnia (3%) and Kainuu (2%) from October.
