Unemployed jobseekers by levels of education and occupational group
Examined by level of education, unemployment decreased from August last year at all levels of education; the decrease was greatest among those with lower level basic qualifications (-23%), post-secondary non-tertiary education (-20%), lowest level of tertiary education (-19%) and secondary education (-16%). Unemployment decreased the least among those with level of education “unknown” (-1%).
Examined by occupation, unemployment decreased for all groups from August of last year. The greatest decreases were in the groups of service and sales workers (-9,600), ‘unknown’ (-6,600), craft and related trades workers (-6,500) and professionals (-4,300). Unemployment decreased the least in the groups of armed forces (-30), skilled agricultural, forestry and fishery workers (-700) and managers (-700).
