Decrease in long-term unemployment

At the end of February, the number of long-term unemployed who had been unemployed without interruption for more than a year amounted to 85,100, down 18,700 on the previous year. Of the long-term unemployed, 51,900 were men and 33,200 were women. The number of men decreased by 10,500 (-17%) from the previous year and the number of women by 8,200 (-20%). Long-term unemployed who had been unemployed without interruption for more than two years numbered 50,000, which is 2,200 less than a year ago.
